English (Year 5 & 6)
English (Year 7-10)
Dee has taught secondary English for almost 30 years. She is currently working at a leading, independent Melbourne school. Dee understands the importance of developing a positive rapport with her students; firmly believing this is the first step in the process of supporting them to become confident, inquisitive learners. Dee prides herself on being enthusiastic, approachable and encouraging. Her favourite classroom acronym is F.A.I.L (she believes that there are no ‘failures’ in learning , simply First Attempts In Learning!)
All of Dee's tutoring sessions are differentiated to meet the needs of your learner. She will first ascertain your learner's prior knowledge and skills, then work with them to set achievable and rewarding learning goals.
Dee’s interests include: reading biographies, exploring new wellbeing activities for both herself and her students, cooking traditional Greek food, watching French films and taking the family cavoodle on long walks.
If Dee doesn't have availability for a time that is suitable for your learner please contact us to express your interest (including the desired day and time) and we will try to accommodate your request or put your name on a waitlist.
