Mr Casey Marshall
Casey has worked in primary education for over 5 years. He has worked with all primary year levels, including primary children in specialist education. Casey is currently a primary classroom teacher at one of Melbourne's leading independent schools. He utilises an explicit learning model, where Casey takes student's through an engaging and enjoyable session. Using theme-based warm-ups to access prior knowledge and develop an overall understanding of each concept, Casey then directly addresses the specific focus area using a range of concrete materials, equations, questions and hands-on activities.
Originally formed through his years as a semi-professional basketball player, Casey’s passion in education stems from his students developing an understanding on the importance of resilience through accepting and welcoming challenges. Knowing no jump shot was made unless taken, this directly relates to his philosophy that no sentence, no equation, and no answer was correct without learning from previous mistakes.
All tutoring sessions are customised to suit the learner’s needs.
Casey's personal interests include: basketball, golf, reading and spending time with his family and friends.
